Since our inception in 2016, Primed Talent has been at the forefront of transforming lives through adult learning and skill upliftment. Headquartered in London, we are part of a wider network of organizations dedicated to fostering global talent development. Drawing on a decade of expertise in training and skilling, we have impacted the lives of over 125,000 professionals worldwide, addressing the pressing skill shortages in the UK and beyond.
A Journey of Transformation
Our mission began with a commitment to harnessing technology to drive change. In September 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we launched our first AWS re/Start cohort in partnership with Amazon Web Services. This initiative was born from a shared vision to support underserved groups, displaced individuals, and minorities, aligning perfectly with our mission to foster transformative change in diverse communities.
Since the launch, we have trained more than 800 individuals and successfully placed over 350 of them in meaningful roles. This achievement underscores our dedication to boosting employability and life skills, thereby bridging the tech-related employment gap. The continued support from AWS has been instrumental in sustaining this journey, allowing us to introduce new talent into the workforce and help individuals build successful careers in cloud technology.
Expanding Horizons: Achievements and Growth
Till 2024, we have conducted over 40 AWS re/Start cohorts, with our association with AWS dating back to September 2020. This period, which we refer to as the “COVID era,” saw a surge in tech sector growth alongside widespread job redundancies and a growing skills gap. In response, we have been steadfast in our mission to upskill individuals across the UK, Germany, the USA, and India through our program.
Our early cohorts were self-funded, a strategic move designed to establish our credibility before pursuing government funding. This approach proved successful, leading to our first funded project with Skills Development Scotland. We trained 40 Scottish learners who were receiving government benefits and supported their transition into employment. Building on this success, we secured additional funding in the North of England and Cornwall, where we have consistently delivered exceptional results. Our performance in these regions has been recognized for three consecutive years, and we continue to maintain an active contract with them.
This year, we proudly achieved a significant milestone by successfully navigating the national funding scheme via the Department for Education in England. To date, we have trained over 550 learners out of an overall target of 700. This accomplishment is a testament to our team’s dedication and the robust support system we have in place.
Continuous Improvement and Commitment to Excellence
While we celebrate our successes, we remain committed to continuous improvement. Our mobilization, training, and employment processes are rigorously reviewed at defined intervals to incorporate best practices and enhance our outcomes. We take pride in our flexibility, offering our learners access to expert tutors who not only lead our cohorts but also support other organizations as needed.
Primed Talent: Transforming Lives, Shaping Futures
Our journey with AWS re/Start has not only been about addressing immediate skill gaps but also about anticipating and preparing for future trends in technology. As the tech landscape evolves, so do our training programs. We continually adapt our curriculum to incorporate the latest advancements and ensure that our learners are equipped with the skills needed to excel in an ever-changing digital world.
In addition to our core training programs, we are exploring new avenues to enhance our offerings. This includes partnerships with industry leaders, integrating emerging technologies into our curriculum, and expanding our reach to underserved regions. By staying at the forefront of technological developments, we ensure that our learners are not only job-ready but also positioned to thrive in the future workforce.
A Vision for Inclusive Growth
One of our core values is fostering inclusive growth. We believe that diversity in technology is not just a goal but a necessity for innovation and progress. Our programs are designed to support a wide range of individuals, including those from marginalized communities and non-traditional backgrounds. By providing opportunities for these individuals, we contribute to a more equitable tech sector and help build a more inclusive society.
Our commitment to inclusivity is reflected in the success stories of our alumni. Many have transitioned into impactful roles within the tech industry, contributing to projects that drive social good and technological advancement. Their achievements are a testament to the effectiveness of our programs and the potential of our learners.
Looking Ahead: The Roadmap to Success
As we move forward, our focus remains on expanding our impact and enhancing our programs. We are committed to:
- Scaling Our Reach: Expanding our cohorts to new regions and increasing the number of individuals we train annually.
- Enhancing Curriculum: Continuously updating our training materials to include the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Strengthening Partnerships: Collaborating with more organizations and industry leaders to offer a wider range of opportunities for our learners.
- Fostering Community: Building a strong network of alumni and industry professionals who can support each other and contribute to the broader tech community.
