Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
Primed Talent Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
We calculate our greenhouse gas emissions based on a baseline established in 2023, the year we first reported on energy use. These baseline emissions are the reference point against which future emissions and reduction plans are measured.
Baseline Year: 2023
Additional Details Relating to Baseline Emissions Calculations:
- Scope 1: Energy use for rented and serviced offices only.
- Scope 2: No travel.
- Scope 3: Resource use (e.g., paper, handouts, and posters).
Baseline Year Emissions:
EMISSIONS | TOTAL (tCO2e) |
Scope 1 | 34.2 |
Scope 2 | 0 |
Scope 3 (included) | 1.2 |
Total | 35.4 |
Current Emissions Reporting
Reporting Year: 2024
Current Year Emissions:
EMISSIONS | TOTAL (tCO2e) |
Scope 1 | 5.8 |
Scope 2 | 0 |
Scope 3 (included) | 0.5 |
Total | 6.3 |
Emissions Reduction Targets
To continue progressing toward Net Zero, Primed Talent has adopted the following carbon reduction targets:
- 2023 Baseline Target: Reduce emissions to 4.5 tCO₂e by 2030, an 85% reduction from the baseline.
- Current Progress: By 2024, we have already achieved an 82% reduction against the baseline.
- Future Target: Steadily reduce emissions by implementing sustainable measures and strategies, including the shift to renewable energy and optimised cloud operations.
Key Initiatives:
- Virtual Delivery Model: Transforming face-to-face (F2F) training into live, coach-led, online workshops using platforms like WebEx and AWS Canvas.
- Partnership with AWS: AWS’s commitment to net neutrality supports our sustainability goals. Carbon literacy education is also embedded into our training programs to enhance environmental awareness.
We acknowledge that some reductions were influenced by forced remote work during the pandemic. Moving forward, our strategies aim to ensure sustainable and measurable emission reductions.
Carbon Reduction Projects
Completed Initiatives:
- Flexible Working Policy: Enabling work-from-home arrangements to reduce office-related energy consumption.
- Virtual Delivery: Transitioning from in-person to virtual training and project delivery.
- Optimized Resource Use: Reducing reliance on physical materials like paper and posters.
The above measures have contributed to a reduction of 29.1 tCO₂e, reflecting an 82% decrease from the baseline.
Future Measures:
- Cloud Optimization: Collaborate with providers like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft to optimize energy use for large-scale projects and improve efficiency.
- Employee Support: Provide resources to improve home working energy efficiency, such as better insulation and renewable energy solutions.
- Carbon Literacy: Scale learner education on carbon literacy and environmental considerations to cover at least 80% of learners by 2025.
- Renewable Energy: Explore renewable energy sources for office spaces and reduce reliance on non-renewable sources.
Declaration and Sign-Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan is made in the UK in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standards for Carbon Reduction Plans. Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans, the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard, and the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements. The required subset of Scope 3 emissions has been reported in accordance with the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
