1. Introduction
Primed Talent Ltd is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working and learning environment for all staff, learners, contractors, visitors, and other stakeholders who may be affected by our operations. This includes ensuring safe systems of work, appropriate equipment, suitable working conditions, and access to relevant training and supervision.
We aim to comply fully with all relevant UK health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and associated regulations. This policy outlines our approach, responsibilities, and arrangements for safeguarding health, safety, and well-being across the organisation.
2. Purpose and Aims
This policy aims to:
Protect the health, safety, and welfare of all staff, learners, and visitors
Provide clear roles, responsibilities, and arrangements for implementing health and safety practices
Promote a proactive health and safety culture across all levels of the organisation
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations relating to workplace and learner safety
3. Scope
This policy applies to all premises, programmes, and activities delivered or managed by Primed Talent Ltd, including:
Physical locations and remote working arrangements
Employees, contractors, learners, visitors, subcontractors, and delivery partners
4. Responsibilities

5. Arrangements
5.1 Fire Safety and Emergency Procedures
Periodic evacuation drills
Clear and unobstructed fire exits
Fire-fighting equipment for trained staff only
Nominated staff assist evacuation and roll calls
5.2 First Aid and Accident Reporting
Clearly marked first aid kits
First Aider contact information visible on all sites
Mandatory reporting of all accidents/near misses
Escalation of serious incidents to Directors and authorities
5.3 Risk Assessment
Annual or as-needed risk assessments
Communication of risks and control measures
5.4 Electrical Safety
Use of tested, certified equipment only
Scheduled PAT testing
Immediate reporting and removal of faulty equipment
5.5 Health and Safety Training
Induction training for new staff
Refresher training for high-risk roles
HR maintains training logs
5.6 Remote Working and DSE
Staff to complete workstation assessments
Guidance provided on ergonomics and screen breaks
5.7 Mental Health and Well-being
Access to Mental Health First Aiders
Awareness resources and training provided
5.8 Smoking and Substance Use
Prohibition of smoking/vaping on premises
Zero tolerance for substance misuse
5.9 Visitors and Site Access
Visitors to report to reception/contact on arrival
No access to restricted areas without authorisation
5.10 Monitoring and Inspection
Six-monthly formal inspections
Action logs maintained and followed up
5.11 Purchasing and Equipment Safety
All items must meet safety standards
Director approval required for purchases
6. Monitoring and Review
Performance monitored through inspections, feedback, and incident analysis
Reviewed annually or earlier in response to changes in risk, structure, or law
