1. Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Primed Talent Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with UK government guidelines.

2. Baseline Emissions Footprint

We calculate our emissions based on a baseline year of 2023, which represents the first year we assessed our energy usage. These figures form the reference point for setting future emissions targets and evaluating our progress.

Baseline Year: 2023

Emissions SourceTotal (tCO₂e)
Scope 134.2
Scope 20
Scope 3 (included)1.2
Total35.4

Scope Definitions:

  • Scope 1: Direct emissions from energy used in rented and serviced offices.

  • Scope 2: No emissions from electricity purchased.

  • Scope 3: Emissions from paper, handouts, posters, and other consumables.

4. Emissions Reduction Targets

We are progressing toward Net Zero through measurable, strategic targets:

  • Target for 2030: Reduce emissions to 4.5 tCO₂e (85% reduction from baseline).

  • Progress by 2024: Emissions reduced to 6.3 tCO₂e, an 82% reduction.

  • Progress by 2025: Emissions reduced to 5.7 tCO₂e, an 84% reduction.

  • Ongoing Plan: Implement and maintain sustainable practices to support further reductions.

5. Key Initiatives

  • Virtual Delivery Model: Training is delivered online via WebEx and AWS Canvas, replacing physical sessions.

  • AWS Partnership: Leverages AWS’s net zero roadmap and integrates carbon literacy into training.

6. Carbon Reduction Projects

Completed Initiatives:

  • Shift to virtual training

  • Remote and flexible working policy

  • Reduced use of printed materials

Impact: Combined savings of 29.7 tCO₂e (84% reduction from baseline).

Future Measures:

  • Cloud Optimisation: Collaborate with cloud providers to reduce data processing energy.

  • Employee Energy Efficiency Support: Promote greener home setups.

  • Carbon Literacy: Reach 80% of learners with carbon awareness training by 2025.

  • Renewable Energy: Transition offices to renewable energy sources where possible.

7. Declaration and Sign-Off

This plan complies with PPN 06/21 and associated UK Government reporting requirements. Emissions are reported using the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and SECR requirements. Scope 3 emissions align with the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
