About the Programme
Cybersecurity Skills Bootcamp is funded by the Mayor of London and the Department for Education (Skills for Life campaign), making it free for eligible Londoners aged 19+. Open to individuals who are employed, self-employed, unemployed, or returning to work, this fully funded 10-week programme equips you with the technical and professional skills to launch a career in cybersecurity.
Cybersecurity is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the UK and vital to protecting our digital world. This intensive course blends theory, hands-on labs, and career-readiness training to help you develop job-ready cyber analyst skills.
You’ll gain practical experience across:
Digital systems and networking
Threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities
Security frameworks and incident response
SOC operations and real-world simulations
Led by certified cybersecurity professionals, the programme prepares you for SOC Analyst and Cybersecurity Analyst roles, aligned with CompTIA CySA+ industry standards.
The bootcamp requires no prior cybersecurity experience only basic IT literacy. We also provide accessibility and learning support, with reasonable adjustments available where needed.
To ensure you’re job-ready, the programme includes career coaching, CV building, mock interviews, and employability training. On successful completion, you’ll be guaranteed at least one interview with an employer partner, giving you a clear pathway into the cybersecurity workforce.

How does it work?

To be eligible for programme, you need to fulfil these requirements:- Candidates must be 19+ (as of the 31st of August 2024)
- You have the legal right to live and work in the UK
- You are interested in a career in technology and are able to demonstrate the same
- You are available and ok to undergo training for 10 consecutive weeks
- You possess computing equipment and steady internet connection to undergo the training
What skills will you learn during the 10 weeks?
Week 1 – Week 3
Gain a strong grounding in the cybersecurity landscape, threat types, and attacker tactics. Build core networking knowledge including TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs. Learn operating system and application security, patching, authentication, and introductory web application security.
Week 4 – Week 6
Explore vulnerability scanning, prioritisation, and remediation. Develop skills in threat intelligence, using indicators of compromise (IoCs) and open-source intel. Practise SOC operations, incident response playbooks, log analysis, and forensic fundamentals with SIEM tools.
Week 7 – Week 9
Dive into ethical hacking principles, penetration testing basics, and security automation with scripting. Gain awareness of cloud, IoT, AI, and blockchain security risks. Apply your learning in a capstone SOC simulation project to handle a real-world cyber incident end-to-end.
Week 10
Focus on career preparation with CV workshops, mock interviews, and workplace readiness training. Build confidence to enter roles such as SOC Analyst, Cybersecurity Analyst, or IT Security Support, supported by a guaranteed interview opportunity with an employer.

Eligibility: Adults 19+, resident in Devon, whether in work, seeking work, or returning to work.
We actively encourage applications from women, neurodiverse learners, people without a degree, unemployed individuals, and career returners.
This is a hybrid programme online learning is supported by a final in-person training week in London.
Your application was rejected as you have not met one of our programmes criteria’s OR not scored the minimum number of points on a test in the application cycle. Please ensure that you review the eligibility criteria on the Programme page. Common reasons for why you may have been rejected are because on the application you have selected an option that means you:
• Do not live in the area
• Will be in full-time education or training at the start of the programme
• Do not have the right to live and work in the UK
• Are not available for the full duration of the programme
• Are not able to start a job straight after the programme is complete
• Did not score the minimum number of points on one of our tests/tasks to move onto the next stage

After you have successfully completed our training, we provide placement assistance by helping schedule interview(s) with hiring employer(s)
