About the Programme

The Cyber Security Skills Bootcamp is a practical Level 4 Skills Bootcamp in Buckinghamshire designed for working professionals in the digital sector who want to strengthen their cyber defence, incident response and workplace security skills.

The programme focuses on real workplace applications of cyber security, including identifying threats, analysing vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, protecting organisational systems and communicating cyber risks effectively.

The programme is aligned to the IfATE Cyber Security Technologist – Cyber Defend & Respond Standard, OCC1021A, Level 4.

Through this bootcamp, learners will develop practical Level 4 knowledge of cyber security principles, threat landscapes, security operations, vulnerability management, incident response and legal, ethical and regulatory responsibilities.

    • You should have basic digital literacy, including awareness and usage of computer architecture, operating systems and digital applications
    • You should have familiarity with IT systems, including basic IT systems and networking, basic cloud infrastructure and basic security concepts
    • You should be available to attend online/in-person training for the full programme duration
    • You should have access to a laptop or computer and a stable internet connection
    • You should be willing to complete learning tasks, self-directed learning and project work

The programme is free for self-employed learners, subject to funding and eligibility criteria.

No. This is a Level 4 cyber security programme with a focused 60 GLH training duration, so it is not suitable for complete beginners or non-tech learners. Applicants should already have basic digital literacy and familiarity with IT systems.

How is the training delivered?

The programme is delivered online/in-person through instructor-led training. Learners attend sessions 3 days per week, 2 hours per day.
